This dinosaur bone was collected from the Hell Creek Formation in the United States. The Hell Creek Formation, dating back to the end of the Cretaceous period about 65.5 million years ago, is named for the exposures studied along Hell Creek near Jordan, Montana. The formation spans parts of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. The dinosaur bone fragments we used were from the main dinosaurs found in the region, the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops.
Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs ever. Everything about this ferocious predator, from its massive skull to its 4-foot-long jaw, is designed for maximum bone smashing. Tyrannosaurus rex lived in forested river valleys in North America during the late Cretaceous period. It died out in the Cretaceous period about 65 million years ago. Fossil evidence suggests that Tyrannosaurus Rex was about 40 feet long and 15 to 20 feet tall. Its strong thighs and long, powerful tail help it move quickly, and its massive 5-foot-long skull.
The meteorite fragments in this wedding ring are the Gibone Meteorite, a prehistoric meteorite that fell in Namibia, South Africa. It was named after the nearest town it landed in: Gibeon. Meteorites get their name because they come from outer space and are fragments of asteroids and comets! The meteorite has gone through four ice ages since it landed on Earth. This is by far the oldest mosaic material we have ever used, as meteorite fragments are about 4 billion years old.
*Special Note-
These supplies are very limited because meteorites and dinosaur bones are ancient, rare and non-renewable, so we cannot guarantee future stocks of these, depending on what we can get and at what cost. We will not increase prices for current batches, but future rings will be priced based on material cost.
Our dinosaur bone inlays are made from 100% authentic crushed dinosaur bone fossils.
Each ring comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Each dinosaur bone is sealed in a marine-grade waterproof coating. Saga Bands started in 2008 and has been making rings for more than 10 years, we have enough strength to make the most durable rings.
This ring features a snug fit inside the ring, which means the center of the ring is true to size and slightly larger toward the edge of the ring. The tight fit makes the ring easier to put on and take off and more comfortable on the finger.
Some people like the way the ring fits snugly against the finger and will order a ring slightly smaller than the ring size.
